Industry Status quo and Challenges
China's oil and gas pipeline network is huge in scale, characterized by wide geographical distribution, long construction period and complex environmental conditions. With the continuous advancement of the national energy infrastructure construction, the total mileage of oil and gas pipelines is still growing rapidly. Traditional pipeline inspection mainly relies on manual foot inspection and vehicle inspection, which has problems such as low efficiency, high cost and large risk. Especially in complex terrain areas such as mountainous regions, swamps and deserts, manual inspection faces huge challenges. Under such circumstances, the introduction of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) technology provides an innovative solution for the safety management of oil and gas pipelines. Through intelligent and automated inspection methods, the efficiency and accuracy of pipeline safety monitoring have been significantly enhanced, becoming an important technical means to ensure the safe operation of the national energy artery.
